1. **Introduction**

Sintered materials, while longstanding, haven’t been widely adopted in the mould & die industry. Their superior properties compared to materials like bronze with graphite plugs make them an advanced alternative.

2. **Sinter Materials**

Derived from powders, these materials use sponge-like powder for improved sliding. Combining powders tailors mechanical properties. Post compression, they undergo sintering. Compression force regulates porosity, key for sliding. Pores, later filled with lubricating oil via impregnation, make up 20% of our guiding bushes' porosity.

3. **Sinter Products**

Our mainstay: guiding bushes, available fully sintered or with inserts. Most steel bushes can be converted using an insert. Key technologies are:
• Affixing technology: We’ve innovated a way to bond the insert to the steel bush, proving 2000% stronger than traditional methods. Patent pending!
• Pore retention: For effective EHL (elastohydrodynamic lubrication), pores must remain open. We developed a method that preserves them. To demonstrate: We impregnated the sinter insert with colored liquid, then coated it with hygroscopic white paint, which absorbs this liquid. White indicates closed pores, while pink signals open pores, ensuring optimal lubrication. Our newly devised machine, with computer-controlled impregnation, fills at least 90% of pores with oil, thanks to high vacuum techniques.

4. **Conclusions**

Benefits of sintered material:
• Superior wear resistance
• Extended service life
• A PV-value thrice that of bronze with graphite
• Tripled unlubricated running performance compared to bronze.

In essence, sintered materials outpace steel or bronze in sliding properties, making them ideal for various bushings. Their potential uses are extensive.
